If Matt Cooke intentionally injured Karlsson, sure, he should scrap, but people with a hockey IQ understand he didn't. This is why I'm starting to think hockey fans in Ottawa are stupid beyond belief; just like management and their media. Anyone who sees that play again and can even think he did it intentionally is a buffoon.

If I were the GM and coach, send the AHL team - Engelland, Bortuzzo, TK, Vitale and Adams to play them. That would piss off the masses to no end.

I wouldn't taek what the Sun says too serioulsy, they are known to blow things out of proportion. The day after Bin ladin was taken down, the had a full page cover photo with burn in hell written at the top.

You're right----everyone has their own opinion----but the story got beat like a dead horse for a few days and continued for a couple weeks. Most of the comments were from Ottawa, Boston and Philly fans.

It's code if he did it intentionally. If said player didn't do anything wrong, its not code. Let Ottawa get into a chippy game. They could lose a few more players. That is what happens when games get chippy.

Well I'm sure Jack Edwards' words also should have been taken differently instead of, you know, taking his words and applying their definitions to them.

As for the code, I'm of the assumption that if a player injures a key player to your team, intentionally or not, the player should be prepared to drop the gloves. Just my way of thinking, and I have done it in the past.

It's not a code issue. It's not like he ran him from behind or a typical Cooke play. It was the freak result of a play that happens 100 times a game.

So how's the investigation going and when is it scheduled to be on CSI?
